List of Partners
The seven core network partners that collectively form the African Human
Security Initiative
are as follows:
- African Security Dialogue and Research based in Ghana. Responsible for the security and conflict management cluster (peacekeeping, early warning, use of force, mercenaries, etc.)
- Africa Peace Forum based in Kenya. Responsible for the arms management cluster (small arms, conventional arms and landmines).
- Southern Africa Human Rights Trust based in Zimbabwe. Responsible for the corruption cluster.
- Institute for Human Rights and Development in Africa based in The Gambia. Responsible for the democracy and human rights cluster, including the rights of women, children and vulnerable groups.
- Institute for Security Studies based in Kenya. Responsible for the terrorism and organised crime cluster.
- South African Institute of International Affairs based in South Africa. Responsible for the democracy cluster.
- West Africa Network for Peacebuilding based in Ghana is responsible for the civil society cluster.
